Pricing and Fees

AAS reserves advertisement space on a first-come, first-served basis. Confirmed exhibitors receive additional opportunities.

The deadline to reserve and submit final artwork for Conference Program Advertisement was December 1, 2016We are currently compiling the final book for submission to the printer.  We can only accommodate Program Advertisement orders if the company can (1) submit same day payments and (2) submit the final artwork immediately.  If you are able to provide both payment and final artwork today, we can process a program book ad order.  Please contact the Conference Manager to submit an order and ad.

Advertisement Types Descriptions:

Conference Program No Longer Available

The main resource to the conference schedule of events, the conference program is distributed to 3,000+ conference attendees.  All program ads are printed in Full Color. We offer Full Page and Half-Page advertisement spaces as well as Cover spaces.  Covers include, Inside Front Cover, Inside Back Cover and the Back Cover. (Click for details)

Conference E-Flyer

The Conference E-Flyer allows exhibitors and advertisers the opportunity to send an electronic version of your ad directly to the email inbox of all registered conference attendees (approximately 3,300).  Electronic flyers are sent in the 2-3 week time frame immediately prior to the Annual Conference start date.  This is a limited opportunity.  There are 6 dates available; with only one (1) E-Flyer sent per day. Mobile App Banner Ad

Drive traffic to your exhibit booth and reserve a mobile app banner ad.  The AAS mobile app has over 130,000 views.  Get your ad directly in front of everyone using the app to search for panel sessions, viewing floor plans, personal schedules, exhibit hall and much more.   This is a limited opportunity.  There are only 5 slots available.  Ads rotate every 10 seconds. Mobile App Push Notifications

Hosting an event at your booth, want to bring attention to a special offer at a very specific time during the conference, announcing a booth closeout sale?  Sign up for a push notification to be sent directly to the mobile app users phone.  The message will appear directly on the screen of their mobile device.  Push notifications can be schedule for any date or time of your event or simply as a mid-day reminder to visit your exhibit booth. Website Banner Ad

New 2016! The AAS is pleased to offer Website Banner Ads.  We offer a variety of pricing options (one month, three months, six months, etc.). Post your digital banner ad on the most visited annual conference pages.  For more information, see the Banner Ad information page.  Impressions and clicks for ads will be provided to each advertiser. Reserve Advertisement Space

  1. Click on the button below to reserve your advertisement. You will be given 7 minutes to complete your purchase.
  2. All sales are completed in real time.
  3. If an invoice is required, you may request an invoice on the payment screen. Payment must be received within 30 days or by posted deadlines (for ad only orders).

Payment Information

Full payment of the program advertisement is required for the placement of any advertisements.  Payments received in full with be confirmed immediately. 

Advertisers requesting an invoice must pay the invoice within 20 days of receipt.  Failure to pay the reserved ad space by the due date will result in cancellation of the advertisement reservation and the ad not being placed in the conference program. 

The AAS reserves the right to cancel without notice any advertisement reservations.


Cancellations 

All cancellations must be made in writing to the Conference Manager.

If the conference manager receives notification on or before December 1, 2016, the AAS will refund your advertisement reservation amount less 10% of the total amount paid.

Cancellation requests received between December 2, 2016 and on or before January 16, 2017, 50% of the total amount paid will be refunded.  No refunds will be made after January 16, 2017.  

Note:  If advertisement was reserved in combination with a booth reservation, and company received a $50 discount on the booth (and the booth reservation is not cancelled), the $50 discount will also be withheld from the advertisement refund amount.

If company has reserved multiple advertisements, and received $50 discounts on the 2nd and additional advertisements, the refund amount will reflect the discounted amount (less 10%/50% admin fee; whichever applies). For example; if company reserves two full-page advertisement spaces at $1000 and $950, and company requests a refund for one ad, the refund will be applied to the discounted ad first at $950 less 10%/50%).


Eligibility Requirements

AAS 2017 is designed to showcase the print publications, educational materials, digital services, and Asian studies programs and services for our members and attendees.

To fulfill this goal, the association reserves the right to review all requests for advertisements space for eligibility.  All applications are subject to approval by AAS based on the following criteria:  

  1. The items or information to be advertised relate to the purposes of AAS and are consistent and compatible with the AAS values and goals.
  2. The advertisement relates to the purposes of the conference, topics of the various sessions, interest of AAS members and conference attendees.
