    Hi there,

I am looking for colleagues organizing a session focusing on urbanization processes studied in large urban territories, methodologies and methods to do so, comparative urban studies or Tokyo. In my research on the Tokyo Metropolitan Complex is understood as an ‘explorative space’ which shows relations between and implications of contradictory global trends and neighborhood transformations, inter-dependencies of changes on both the global scale and the everyday life in a neighborhood. The discussion of centrality, conflict, political practices and a strong, communal sense, which is embedded in the specific value of place, sheds further light on a specific urban condition.
