Do I have to be an AAS member to search for jobs and post my resume?
Yes, searching for jobs on our Job Board and posting your resume for review by potential employers is a membership benefit of the Association for Asian Studies. Please visit our Membership page for more information on membership benefits.
I am a new Job Board user. How do I post my resume?
You can access the Job Board at www.asian-studies.org by logging into your membership account. The “Log In” button is located in the top right corner of the AAS website.
Please read the instructions carefully before submitting your resume, as there are only a few changes we can make to the ads once they have been submitted.
- Once you have entered the Job Board, select “I wish to search job listings, and/or add or edit my resume” and then hit "Continue."
- Select “My Resume Listing”
- Complete the Resume Listing Form.
- Once you hit the “Submit” button for your Resume Listing, your resume will be submitted for approval. We will not approval your Resume Listing if the form is incomplete or if there is no attachment.
Who can see my profile on the Job Board?
Any employer with an active listing on the Job Board can view your submitted resume listing.
Once I post my resume, when will it be listed?
Resume listings are posted to the AAS Job Board after the AAS has reviewed that the resume form has been completed or at a minimum that the contact information and an attachment are submitted. An email notification will be sent once the approval process is complete.
How long will my resume be live online?
Resume listings are posted for the remaining duration of your membership. The posting period starts once the listing is activated. Listings will be posted immediately on the submission date when possible based upon approval. However, it may take up to several days from the submission date for listings to be posted.
Listings may be removed earlier by request by contacting the AAS at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I forgot my password. How can I log into my account?
To retrieve your password, you will need the User ID associated with your account. You can reset a lost password here.
There is an error in my resume listing. How do I fix it?
Changes to listings can be made by selecting "My Resume Listing" after logging into your membership account.
