Organizer and Chair: David Kummer, Clark University
Discussants: David Kummer, Clark University; Robin Broad, American University; Randy Barker, Cornell University; Douglas Fuller, World Wildlife Fund; Susan Russell, Northern Illinois University; Owen J. Lynch, World Resources Institute

Local or community control of natural resources is increasingly being advocated as the solution to widespread environmental degradation in the Philippines. This is particularly the case with regards to forests. The purpose of this roundtable is to more closely look at what local control of these resources would mean in actual practice. Viewpoints supportive and critical of local control will be represented.
