If you do not arrive on your scheduled arrival date, the hotel will consider you a No Show. This will result in a charge of one night’s room stay and tax. Your hotel reservation will be cancelled for your entire stay.
You must call the hotel directly to cancel your reservations. The Association for Asian Studies cannot accept nor cancel individual hotel reservations. This is the sole responsibility of the conference attendee.
General questions regarding the Sheraton should be directed to the hotel. The AAS will make every effort to post important information regarding the hotel as it relates to the annual conference but individuals should call the hotel directly for
general questions regarding the property.
We are not able to provide information regarding hotels or accommodations outside the official conference block.
As the date of an event draws closer, exhibitors and attendees are from time to time subjected to improper solicitation from unaffiliated hotels or third-party housing agencies. AAS assumes the responsibility to demand a cease and desist of such efforts.
Poachers typically offer a lower rate than the official block rate. With that, room reservations may be offered at significantly lower quality. In other circumstances, cancellation polices are often harsh and unforgiving. For these reasons, and to support our efforts to give you a quality event, we encourage you to book your housing accommodations using the reservation tools provided to attendees. We must wonder about the ethics of those who blatantly intrude on private events such as this and can only speculate at what rude surprises may await for those unsuspecting of such offers.
Please do not be MISLED and fall victim to these tactics! Any offers from other hotels and/or housing agencies are not endorsed by AAS.
To reserve your housing accommodations, please use the link above or call the hotel directly. Beware of, and report any unauthorized solicitations to conference@asian-studies.org.
